Remembering DJ Boots Bell Who Passed Away 7-15-93

Twice a year I post a tribute to Boots. On his birthday and on the anniversary of his passing. Boots Bell was a Youngstown Radio Icon. Boots was the king! Prominent radio personality, YSU instructor, Korean War Vet . He was also a friend and an inspiration.  I had a chance to work with Boots for many years on WNIO and CD106. Boot's spirit is still very much alive with us here at The Wolf. Boots is the king of Youngstown DJ's. He was Youngstown radio. Bootsie was one of a kind. He had a great voice and a style all his own. Below are a few pictures of us back in the day. CLICK HERE TO READ ABOUT ED O'NEIL'S SHOUT OUT TO BOOTS ON "MODERN FAMILY" This chapter from a book called Youngstown and Other Sorrows gives you a pretty good idea of what Boots was like, including comments from Jim Traficant .
