BURGERGUYZ MEAT 16 BURGER CHALLENGE UP-DATE

The Burger Guyz 2018 Badurik Butcher Block Meat 16 Burger Challenge is getting close to finding the last 4 burgers standing. Bogey's beat Coaches and Lime Tree beat Sunrise Inn.  This week  Magic Tree Pub & Eatery, looking to take the next step in getting back the crown it won in 2016, will be tested by The Phoenix Fire Grill & Bar.  And Chef Tank leads Peter Allen Inn to battle with High Pointe Restaurant & Tavern.  Magic Tree advanced in the last round after beating Mojo's at The Wolf Studios.   Check out the burgers and Fast Freddie hosting the contest.

Mojo's put together a burger they call The Ragin' Cajun Blackened Burger. It's a tasty, 8 oz. burger topped with pepper jack cheese, tangy pulled pork, 2 crispy onion rings with a Cajun Alfredo sauce served on a fresh bun.

Magic Tree's Chef Reggie matched it with The Yum Yum Belly Burger.  An 8 oz. Premium Pastured Meats grass fed beef patty, Muenster cheese, crispy Asian braised pork belly with a hoisin glaze, wakame seaweed salad, house-made yum yum sauce, crunchy sesame wonton strips, Gochujang on a butter toasted brioche bun.

Burger judges, Matt Tranovich, Tom Bray and Matt Borza rewarded Magic Tree's effort with a unanimous 3 - 0 decision.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO ON THE BURGERGUYS

We want to remind everyone that this contest is just a fun, friendly competition among local restaurants. It is not to determine who makes the best cheeseburger in the valley. It's to see who can come up with the most creative burger recipe that will impress at least 2 out of 3 random judges in each round of a 4 round tournament. It is our view, all of these burgers are awesome and that's why they're in the tournament! We encourage you to judge them for yourself and let us know if you agree with our judges.
