George Harrison was called the quiet Beatle but after the band split up he sure made a lot of noise. Here is a collection of videos of some of his solo work. I had a chance to see George perform live at Madison Square Garden in 1993 at Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary Celebration. That star studded event was the best concert I ever seen. It was a who's who of the music world. If you get a chance Google it to see the amazing line-up all in one night. You will see a few clips from that show below. George was also a member of the all time greatest super group The Traveling Wilburys with Tom Petty, Bob, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynn from ELO. Tom and Jeff inducted George into the Rock Hall as a solo performer in 2004.
Here are a few clips from that Bob Dylan Anniversary Show. Look at the guys on stage with George for My Back Pages.
Harrison, who was born a few minutes after midnight, considered his birthday February 25th until 1992, when he decided that he preferred it be celebrated on the 24th. Since his death in 2001, most sources cite the 25th as his date of birth.
Here are two of Georges best from The Abbey Road Album. George really started to hit his stride with these songs.
This is George's last public performance. This is the title cut from his album "All Things Must Pass" The first solo album by a Beatle to hit #1.
