Sofi Tukker Drop New Single "Mi Rumba"

Sofi Tukker was recently nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Dance/Electronic category for their album Treehouse, so it's only fitting that the jungle pop duo would release a house single.

On Friday (January 18) Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern dropped a new track called "Mi Rumba," which is a collaboration with producer ZHU. The track sees the two swap verses, while ZHU lays down some icy, industrial beats.

"ZHU is a great producer and we were excited to get in the room together and see what would happen!" the duo said in a statement. "It was a really fun and natural process and we were up dancing and laughing most of the time. It’s dirty and we love it."

This year's GRAMMY nomination is Sofi Tukker's second. Their single "Drinkee" was also nominated for Best Dance Recording in 2016, though it didn't win. Tune in on February 10th to see if they take home an award this year.

The duo is traversing Mexico and Eastern Europe this year on tour, with a few North American DJ sets scattered in. They'll also make a pit stop in California this Spring to play Coachella. Check out a full list of tour dates here.
