Jenny Lewis Shares New Single 'Wasted Youth'

One week before releasing her upcoming album On The Line, Jenny Lewis has gifted us with another new single today. "Wasted Youth" is another example of the former Rilo Kiley front woman's knack for channeling the past, as it shows off her songwriting chops and transports its listener to Laurel Canyon in the '70s.

Lewis recruited '80s legend Don Was on bass, and The Heartbreakers' Benmont Tench on the Vox Continental and Mellotron organs, who also played on her last single "Heads Gonna Roll," along with Ringo Starr.

These tracks follow the album's lead single "Red Bull & Hennessy." On The Line is slated for a March 22 release and will be Lewis' first album in five years. Listen to "Wasted Youth" below.
