VIDEO: Bon Scott AC/DC ROCK Cleveland Stadium '79

Bon Scott died on 2-19-80. Here is the AC/DC show at Cleveland Stadium in his memory from 7-28-79. What a day. I was there. He died six months later.

The set is part of the legendary World Series of Rock that also featured Thin Lizzy, Scorpions, Journey, Aerosmith and Ted Nugent. They don't show Angus jamming out in the crowd on a roadie's shoulders. This was an amazing day in North East Ohio rock history.

In 1977 AC/DC played the Tomorrow Club in downtown Youngstown. They opened for punk rocker Mink DeVille from CBGB in New York City. All I remember about the headliner was the singer was wearing a bad ass full length leather jacket and the crowd wanted more AC/DC. He was getting pissed.

I always post this video on Bon's birthday and the anniversary of his passing because it brings back such great memories.

Below are a few extra cuts. Let There Be Rock, Riff Raff and It's a Long way To the Top If You Wanna Rock and Roll.
