APHRODISIAC: FUNNY PAT DAILEY SONG FOR NATIONAL OYSTER DAY

  • Here is a funny song by The King of Put-In-Bay, Pat Dailey for National Oyster Day. It's called Aphrodisiac. I love slurpin' em down. On of my favorite raw bars is called Tracks in Penn Station in New York City. Unfortunately it is going to be closing at the end of the month. , We suck down almost two billion pounds of oysters around the world every year. The body of water where the oyster comes from influences the flavor. East and west coast U.S. oysters are very different. East coast oysters tend to be smaller, milder and saltier. West coast oysters are more on the creamy side with a sweet flavor. One of my favorites is the Pine Island from Oyster Bay Long Island. They are mild, plump and firm. Bring in a dozen with cocktail sauce, horse radish and an ice cold beer please!
