The Mavericks: ‘En Español’ World Tour

Founded in Miami in 1989, The Mavericks had a string of big hits and critical acclaim in the ‘90s. After band members decided to explore and push their own musical boundaries in the early 2000’s, the band had a triumphant reunion in 2012 and recently celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2019. Now, in 2021 they are back charting on the Billboard charts with the released their first all-Spanish language album, En Español, last August. The album, which celebrates the Latin roots of singer Raul Malo and guitarist Eddie Perez, hit #1 on the Billboard charts- the first ever for a Billboard debut of an all Spanish album.
