AEROSMITH: Two of Them Aren't Ready to Quit

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton would prefer the band call its next tour Aero-Vederci Maybe rather than Aero-Vederci Baby.

"We got this idea that we should probably do something called a farewell tour, because, you never know, it could be. But in my heart I can't fathom not responding to the call if my manager or somebody calls and says, 'Hey, they're dying for you to go to Southeast Asia and do 20 shows.' There's no way I'm gonna say no, unless I physically can't do it. There's so many exciting things that are opening up, even for a band that's been together as long as us."

Rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford agrees, telling NME, "I think it was a general business decision, between the promoters to the management to the band. I don't actually feel like we're gonna be shutting the whole thing down at the end of it, but I think there's a lot more life in the band. But, I guess you've got to start somewhere. So, we're just starting to put the farewell label on things."

Whatever the tour is called, it will get going on May 17th in Tel Aviv, Israel with U.S. dates in the fall.

Brad Whitford seems just as confused as us...
