GRAMMY PREDICTIONS: Best Metal Performance

The Best Metal Performance category at the Grammys features a couple of newcomers -- and one band that has been here too many times without winning.

Baroness (for "Shock Me") and Periphery (for "The Price Is Wrong") have scored their first nominations in their long careers, but they probably don't have big enough name recognition for voters.

Gojira (for "Silvera") are also nominated for Best Rock Album, which means voters could lean toward them here to make up for not choosing them in the album category. But they're not as widely known as the other two nominees.

Korn (for "Rotting in Vain") have eight Grammy nominations and two wins in their two-decade career, including this category in 2003.

But the most-nominated group in the category is Megadeth, who've been up for this award 11 times without a win. Their 12th nomination came for the title track to Dystopia. We think that the 12th time is a charm, and Dave Mustaine and company will finally get a trophy.
