Maze Craze was featured as one of the top-10 corn mazes in the United States in 2018 in a “USA Today” poll. The maze features 21 acres of corn for a total of 9.2 miles of trail. This year’s design is themed for “The Wizard of Oz” to honor the film’s 80th anniversary.

Ghost Walk
The tour starts at First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, OH.
Tours start at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, 12, 18 and 19. The last tour group leaves at 9 p.m.
There is also a special tour for people with mobility issues at 3 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Warren Library in the Thomas Room.
The Ghost Walk looks at the lives of the historic Perkins family. Guided tour groups leave every 10 minutes from the church parking lot and include stops along Warren’s Millionaire’s Row, where actors will portray the restless spirits of the people who once lived in Trumbull County.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and younger. Discounted tickets are available at Beautiful Whirl’d, Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County, Mocha House, Simpson Gallery and Gifts, Trumbull Art Gallery and Trumbull County Historical Society.
Apple Butter Festival

See how apple butter is made the old fashioned way in a large copper kettle. Take a turn at stirring, and then purchase a quart or pint of apple butter to take home.
There will be freshly-baked apple dumplings, pies, cookies and bread for purchase. There will also be children’s games and prizes, along with face painting, demonstrations of weaving and sock making and more.
Dragonhold Fantasy Festival

A fantasy-themed event that encourages guests to dress as goblins, knights, fairies and all kinds of fantastic creatures, though costumes are not required. The day’s festivities conclude with a masquerade ball presided over by the Goblin King! Admission to the ball is separate from the festival and, due to limited quantities, must be purchased in advance.

Haunting Adventures with Kimberly Mitchell

Join Kimberly Mitchell, local paranormal historian, to hear her haunting adventures as a Ghost Hunter. Kimberly has conducted more than 300 paranormal investigations, many here in Mahoning County, including several library branches. She will introduce the basics of ghost hunting, using EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon), photographs, and a few other basic pieces of equipment. The event is for adults, teens and children over 10.
9th Annual Neighborhood Harvest

Organized by ICU Blockwatch and St. Dominic’s Church, the event includes food, candy, a bounce house and music by DJ Ira Cross. Local police and fire departments are participating.
Child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No costumes are permitted.
The event is sponsored by Conroy’s Party Shop and Southside Recycling.
The group is collecting candy and support for the event. Donations can be dropped off at St. Dominic’s from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. until Oct. 17.

Trick or Treat at Eastwood Field

“Trick or Treat” at Eastwood Field is a safe way to celebrate Halloween for children ages 12 and under. Ticket quantities are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Children and adults will require a ticket. Tickets are $1 each and are available starting Monday, September 16 at the Scrappers Team Office located at Eastwood Field. In addition, anyone that donates canned goods at the “Trick or Treat” event for Feed Our Valley will receive a free general admission Scrappers ticket valid during the 2020 season.
New to the 2019 Trick or Treat event is a “Fast Pass,” available for the first 100 kids and includes admission for one child and two adult tickets. It allows you to skip the line and get in at 5:45 p.m. for only $10.
Hallowine Trail

This trail at five stops is complete with eerily-decorated locations, themed snack foods, drinks, live music and a costume contest!
The trail runs from noon – 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
You must start your trail at Knockin Noggin in Volant, PA and finish your trail at Nova Cellars Winery in Pulaski, PA. At each winery, you will receive free samples of products and a full glass of your favorite drink to enjoy as well at every stop! Halloween costumes are encouraged.
